Chamonix Mont-Blanc to Alpe D'Huez over the Col D'Iseran (2770M) and the Col de la Galibier (2645M)........

New for 2012 this epic tour from the self styled extreme capital of the Alps, Chamonix Mont-Blanc, to the mythical slopes of Alpe D'Huez. To add a little more style we'll journey over the border in Italy for cappucinos to start the ride!

Day 1 arrive in Geneva for private transfer to Chamonix, assemble bikes and maybe a quick warm up ride.

Day 2 we'll travel through to Italy via the Mont Blanc Tunnel after which its time to saddle up for the short descent to Pre St Didier and the gentle slopes of the Petit St Bernard pass. Time for an Italian coffee in the ski resort of La Thuile before continuing upwards to summit (2188M). Descending back into France we then tackle the early slopes of the Col D'Iseran, climbing to the world famous ski resort of Val D'Isere where we overnight.

Day 3 we continue the climb of the Col D'Iseran (2770M), the highest paved mountain pass in the Alps. Descending into the Maurienne valley, we then turn left onto the Col de Telegraphe (1566M) and reach Valloire to complete our second day on the bike.

Day 4 after fueling up for a big day, we set off for the 17km climb over the Col du Galibier (2645M). Once over the summit its the long descent to Bourg D'Oisans and onto the mythical slopes of Alpe D'Huez and the climb to 1860M.

If your time is short we can break the Tour here, or alternatively;

Day 5 leaving Bourg D'Oisans, we climb the Col du Glandon, and onto the Col de Madelaine.

Day 6 Col de Saisies (optional Aravis and Colombiere), returning to Chamonix.
