Cycling the Tour du Mont Blanc - 2 or more days riding the epic Mont Blanc circuit
Tour du Mont Blanc by bike is a flexible trip ideal for bespoke groups and cycling clubs - Ability level - Strong riders: 2 days, or more leisurely pace over 3 or 4 days. The route totals 330km with 8000M of climbing, over 7 Alpine Cols
The cyclists Tour du Mont Blanc circuits Western Europes highest peak. We recommend very strong riders complete the route in 2 days or for a more leisurely pace over 3 or 4 days cycling.
The circumnavigation of Western Europe's highest mountain, Mont Blanc (4810M) is quickly becoming a 'must do'.
Day 1. Arrive Geneva International airport and take our transfer service to the luxury of Chalet Annabelle. Build the bikes and maybe take a short shakedown ride before dinner.
Day 2. We leave Chalet Annabelle and take a short transfer through the Mont Blanc Tunnel to Italy for the first climb of the day, the Petit St Bernard pass where some of the original 'Italian Job' was filmed. At the summit we cross back into France and descend to Bourg St Maurice and join the climb of the Cormet de Roseland. After the summit we descend to the last big climb of the day over the Col des Saisies before dropping down through Megeve and then gently winding our way back up to Chamonix and return to the comfort of Chalet Annabelle where the Hot Tub is waiting.
Day 3. Riding directly from the Chalet and over the leg loosening climb of the Col des Montets, we cross into Switzerland and onto the Col de Forclaz. We then have the option of an additional climb over Champex du Lac before joining the Grand St Bernard pass. At the summit we are back into Italy and descend into the Aosta Valley for the gentle climb up to Courmayeur. We will then transit by van back through the Mont Blanc Tunnel to Chalet Annabelle. Airport transfers to Geneva for the final flights of the evening. (3rd night at Chalet Annabelle may be possible)
- Return transfers from Geneva Airport
- 2 nights at Chalet Annabelle with breakfast and evening meal (with wine) on a shared room basis (single supplement may be availabe)
- Dedicated service vehicle and picnic lunch
- Pro bike mechanic (subject to availability)
What's not included....
Availability; This trip can be slotted into our schedule throughout the Summer from the beginning of June through to the middle of October. It is ideal for time pressured riders and bespoke groups. Weekend / mid-week - you decide.
