What is SAG support for road cycling?

SAG (Support and Gear) support provides vehicle assistance for road cyclists, carrying luggage, food, spare parts and offering mechanical help during long-distance rides or alpine events.

Which cycling events in the French Alps do you support?

We provide support for major cycling events such as the Tour du Mont Blanc, Marmotte Granfondo, Etape du Tour, and Geneva to Nice rides. Custom itineraries can also be arranged.

Do you offer airport transfers for cyclists and bikes?

Yes, we offer private airport transfers for cyclists and bikes to and from airports such as Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble, ensuring your equipment travels safely.

Can you provide support for private cycling tours?

Absolutely. We offer full logistical and vehicle support for private groups, including luggage transfers, mechanical assistance and route planning across the French Alps.

Road Cycling Support Vehicle (SAG Wagon) for your French Alps Cycling Adventure

The cycling cols of the French Alps - climbing the mountains by road bike is no mean feat!

Whilst you may wish to talk to me for guidance and advice with the planning of your trip , your cycling group may only need road support for your French Alps Road Bike Tour.

Many individuals and groups cycling the cols of the French Alps will have planned their own itinerary and accommodation however recognise that in the French Alps summer, to tackle the best cycling cols of the French Alps your group will need road support and ultimately a 'broom wagon' for those wishing to save some energy for the next Climb. Team car, Broom wagon, Voiture Balai, SAG support - we cater to all nationalities!

Because we hold a French Passenger Transport License, we are fully licensed and insured to carry passengers in our vehicles. This means that we can legally offer a cycling support vehicle for your group. We carry taxi liability insurance and we can also include your airport transfers at each end of your trip.

Whether you are cycling Geneva to Nice, a focused few days around a specific area, a charity challenge, 3 sides of Mont Ventoux in a day, or a one time assault on Alpe D'Huez - we can help with your road support.

We can also provide film crew, and YouTube influencer support - if for example, you are filming for GCN or similar channels.

We will leapfrog the group stopping and waiting for the last of the group usually every 5kms or so once we are on a Col. The finer details specific to your group needs can be discussed during the booking process.

Professional driver who is an expert road cyclist having ridden and competed in the Alps for 19 years
Collection and drop off at your chalet / hotel / airBnB
a selection of tools / pump
non cyclists may travel in the vehicle
maximum 8 seats minibus with roof rack for 8 bikes
unlimited supply of water
transfer of day bag, personal luggage (bike box transfers van be organised for point-to-point tours such as the cyclist's Geneva Nice and Tour du Mont Blanc, charity cycling events)
First-Aid qualified to ITC Level 3 Outdoor First-Aid

What is not included with our road cycling support (SAG wagon)

Food and drink (except water) - we can organise food collection / picniques etc to your budget
the driver will provide tips and advice however he is NOT a guide
Bike spares - you should maintain self-sufficiency and you can supply additional spares to be carried in the vehicle - we carry a small supply

What does a road cycling support package cost?

Every Alpine cycling adventure is different. Pricing depends on the route, duration, group size and level of support required.

2 to 4 days alpine cycling support

from €485 per day

5 to 7 multi-day cycling support

from €470 per day
